What's goin' on with the 60+ year old brain anyway?

MY STORY... i TOOK MY FIRST COLLEGE CLASS WHEN OUR YOUNGEST DAUGHTER WAS A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FASCINATED when I studied the BRAIN, ESPeCALLY WHEN I WAS IN COLLEGE. MY FATHER PASSED AWAY FROM ALZHEIMER'S, SO I HAVE BEEN AWARE AND CONCERNED ABOUT MY MEMORY. I WAS AROUND THE AGE OF 64 WHEN i BEGAN FEELING A DECLINE. I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON AND WHY MY MEMORY WAS SLIPPING. I HAD an "AH-HA MOMENT" WHEN I LEARNED THAT IF HEARING IS DAMAGED, IT CAN EFFECT THE BRAIN/MEMORY. IT MADE SENSE TO ME because i USed SAWS AND HAMMERS WHILE REMODELING OUR HOME WITHOUT EAR PROTECTION. IT is likely THAT IS WHAT CAUSED THE RINGING IN MY EARS. I BEGAN LEARNING AS MUCH AS I COULD aBOUT PROTECTING MY HEARING AND LEARNED THAT THE BRAIN IS SUPPOSED TO BE FAIRLY EASY TO repair. I WAS ENCOURAGED! MY reSEARCH BEGAN AND I SPENT A LOT OF TIME learning how to heal my bRAIN. i HAVE BEEN FASCINATED WITH WHAT I HAVE LEARNED. there are MANY WAYS MEMORY CAN BE IMPROVED AND for the most part, it was easy for me to correct the Behaviors, however, It did take QUITE a while BUT I was persistant!
MY PARENTING BOOK FOCUSes ON AVOIDING EXPLOSIONS because it is easier than repairing the damage. THere are many behaviors that are easy TO AVOID! I USE THE ANALOGY OF "EXPLOSIONS" OFTEN IN MY LIFE NOW. it is likEly that USING HEARING PROTECTION WOULD HAVE PREVENTED damage to my ears and eventually hearing loss! I CREATED A LETTER FOR MY EXTENDED FAMILY and shared alot of the INFORMATION that i learned concerning protecting the brain. Being the youngest of my siblings, i hope that my neices and nephews benefit from learning what I have learned. I created material for the LETTER SO IF YOU SEE SOMETHING THAT MENTIONS "FAMILY " or "LETTER", THAT'S WHY and just so you know, It's NOT worth my time to change it, soooo what you see is what you get! 😊

NOTE AS OF nOVEMBER 2024 - I WENT WITHOUT THE cEREBRA FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND NOTICED THE BEGINNING OF A MEMORY DECLINE. i WILL NEVER MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN. CEREBRA ABSOLUTELY MAKES A DIFFERENCE FOR MY MEMORY. |
